To empty your mind, do brain dumps

To begin effectively capturing your thoughts, you will first need to conduct a series of brain dumps. Simply get a few pads of paper and start writing down everything on your mind, until you cannot think of anything else to write. Each brain dump will last approximately 10 to 45 minutes.

Repeat the process several dozen times. Over the course of months, you will capture several thousand thoughts. Do these brain dumps until you cannot export any more thoughts. You will eventually empty your brain.

From then on, keep a pen and paper, or a smartphone, with you at all times and capture new thoughts as soon as they arise. By maintaining your brain’s emptied state incrementally, you will not need to do brain dumps again.
