Stretch, but don’t snap

Growth is most permanent when it happens gradually. The best way to grow is to find your “stretch zone:” where you reach for your goals a little bit further today, and get what you reached for — without snapping your back.

While setting yourself into overdrive may seem like a good idea in the short term, in the long term it almost always damages your engine. All things considered, it’s best to make slow and steady progress every day.
