From college admissions, to grants, to jobs, to relationships: if you aren’t accepted, and you know you should be, reapply. Many applicants who get rejected are too full of shame and hubris to ask the reason why. Once you determine it, correct the problem, return in a few months, and reapply. Winners who use this maxim exhibit determination and the desire to succeed; those are attractive traits, so there’s a good chance other people will notice and you’ll get accepted.

Be prepared for a long battle, though. It might take a few times of being rejected before you are finally accepted. If you’re confident that you belong, don’t give up.
