Insist on evidence

If something exists, there should be evidence. If not, how do you know it exists?

Therefore, it is rational to firmly insist on evidence from yourself, and everyone else, as a prerequisite to making decisions. Any thought, action, or decision without evidence is irrational. If you simply follow the evidence, you cannot make a bad decision.

Due to wishful thinking, the mind sometimes ignores the need for evidence. The best way to fight this tendency is to gather and evaluate evidence on paper, where it becomes much more difficult for the brain to fool itself.
