Get rid of undesirable people early

“At my real estate firm, I cut the bottom 25% of agents every three months and hired new ones. Pretty soon, the top 75% was truly phenomenal.”  – Barbara Corcoran

Waste no time in cutting off people who do not match your criteria: whether a romantic partner, a friend, an employee, or a sales prospect. Eventually, you will need to get rid of the undesirable person anyway; it will come at a higher opportunity cost later, so do it now.

Finding good people is, in some senses, a numbers game. To win at a numbers game, you have to grind through as many qualified options as quickly as possible. For every person you dispose of, you are one step closer to finding a match.
