Do not deviate from your specialty

Once you find your specialty, stick to it. Do not deviate for any reason. When you deviate from your turf, you are challenging another man’s turf and you will lose.

There is a careful balance between deviating and growing. It is important to add skills and hone your specialty; growth is good. However, do not dabble or meander; deviation is bad. Therefore, if you decide to grow your specialty, do so in a premeditated and limited way.

Few maxims are as black and white as this one. Winners obey it, and losers don’t.
